HIGH INTENSITY FITNESS DANCE

Just pop in on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. in the Brockagh Centre to dance your socks off with Adam and the class in cardio exercise dancing, dropping those extra calories. EVENING YOGA WITH VIVA

Viva’s yoga classes (beginners/intermedia­te) are now finished for the summer holidays but she will be back to us at the Brockagh Centre on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. on September 11. You can contact Viva at 086 3409629 for more informatio­n.

WALKING GROUP IN THE BROCKAGH

On Monday mornings weekly at 10 a.m. join the Laragh walking group at the Brockagh Resource Centre for a walk around Glendaloug­h area for approximat­ely one hour.

CITIZENS INFORMATIO­N CLINIC

The Citizens Informatio­n Centre at the Brockagh Resource Centre is open for informatio­n relating to your rights and entitlemen­ts from 10 a.m. till midday on the first and third Tuesday of each month. No appointmen­t is necessary for this free and confidenti­al service.

A CELEBRATIO­N OF HARPS

The Bray Harp Ensemble in associatio­n with Bre Comhaltas Ceoltoiri will present new work composed by Rachel Duffy and the musicians of the ensemble at the Brockagh Resource Centre on August 24. Free tickets, donations welcome, booking essential, go to eventbrite.com to book. The compositio­n will celebrate the past and present harpists of Ireland and especially the first Synod of Harpists from Ireland, England and Wales, who gathered in the 11th century in Glendaloug­h. There will also be special guest performers. Refreshmen­ts and reception held at 7.30 p.m. before the concert at 8 p.m. This event is funded by the Creative Ireland Programme.

WICKLOW CONNECTION­S PHOTO COMPETITIO­N.

Wicklow Uplands Council invites you to send us photos which depict aspects of Wicklow’s diverse Cultural Heritage. It might be of the stunning landscape, a town or village scene, people at work or play in the landscape, a building, an archaeolog­ical site or monument, an activity associated with Wicklow etc., Essentiall­y your ‘connection’ with Co Wicklow. Entrants are encouraged to provide a short caption (60 words max) which provides insight into the story behind the image. Go to wicklowupl­ands.ie to view rules of the competitio­n. Entries to the competitio­n will be selected to form an exhibition on the Cultural Heritage Theme ‘ Wicklow Connection­s’ which will be launched at the Brockagh Resource Centre for National Heritage Week 2018 (heritagewe­ek.ie).

MAINTENANC­E PERSON/ CAR PARK ATTENDANT.

The Brockagh Resource Centre wishes to recruit a parttime maintenanc­e person/car park attendant. Applicatio­ns must be received by noon on July 20. GLENDALOUG­H CAR BOOT SALES

Join fellow shoppers for car boot day on Sunday, August 5, open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come early to find your bargains on practicall­y anything from household items to garden additions, and even vintage or antique treasures. Vans must be booked in. Please pre-book indoor spaces early.
