Remembering Those Who Came Back: Each November, Christ Church Bray remembers those with connections to Bray, who died in both World Wars. In this Armistice centenary year, we also hope to include stories of those people who returned from the Great War (1914-1918) and what course their lives took afterwards. We are seeking personal stories, photographs, letters etc. for possible inclusion in our remembrance exhibition which will take place in Christ Church, Church Road, Bray, in November this year. Car boot sale this Saturday: The fourth of these, in aid of Powerscourt parish funds, takes place this Saturday morning in Powerscourt Church Paddock, Enniskerry, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For further information contact Robert Allison at 086 3815151.

Prayer Opportunities: Prayer group with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Monday in the Presbytery at 8 p.m.; Lectio Divina Tuesday Group will resume in September; Holy Face Devotions, Tuesday immediately after the 7 p.m. Mass in the main church. (Prayer booklets available for new members); Bray Gathering Charismatic Prayer Group, Wednesday in the Little Flower Hall, at 8 p.m.; Silent Holy Hour in the Side Chapel, Friday.
Evening Mass for the month of July: There will be no evening weekday Mass for the month of July. The church will close its doors each day at 4 p.m.
Many Hands Cleaning Group: Are looking for new volunteers. The group meet after the 10 a.m. Mass on Wednesdays for approximately one hours cleaning. Your help is much needed and appreciated. Contact Anne at 086 3438873.
World Meeting of Families 2018: Bus to the Phoenix Park: For those of you who have booked a place on the bus to the Phoenix Park Mass, please note that €10 payment is now due. Parishioners, who have booked a place on the Holy Redeemer Bus to the Phoenix Park do not NEED to book individual tickets as your place on the bus secures a ticket to the Final Mass.

BRAY CUALANN HISTORICAL SOCIETY.
During Heritage Week 2018 which runs from Saturday, August 18, to Sunday, August 26, the Bray Cualann Historical Society, the local history society for Bray and North Wicklow, will hold a number of events during that week. James Scannell will present ‘August 18 to August
26, 1918, in Bray, Co. Wicklow’ at 11.30 a.m. on Saturday, August 18, in Bray Library, Eglinton Road.
Brian White will lead a walking tour ‘Victorian Bray’ at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22, Meet at Sidmonton Square. This tour will be repeated at 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 25, Please dress appropriately for the day’s weather.
