Twin towns Holyhead and Greystones swap visits

-

THERE’S been plenty of traffic crossing the Irish Sea of late as the twin towns of Greystones and Holyhead extended the hand of friendship to each other yet again.

Two teams from Greytones United AFC travelled over to Wales, where they had a wonderful trip and made lots of new friends, enjoyed a great day and played a game or two.

The Holyhead teams returned the favour and visited Greystones last weekend, where they received an equally warm welcome.

While that trip was under way, a delegation of Greystones people made their way over to Holyhead to attend the Holyhead Festival. They left on the first ferry on Friday morning and, by all accounts, had a wonderful time as they met old friends and made new ones, while under the sponsorship of Mayor Keith Thomas and his team.
