FRIENDS OF PHILO PRESENT CHEQUE TO ARKLOW RNLI

THE proceeds of a recent fundraiser for Mary Nolan Hickey’s Lap of the Map in aid of the RNLI were happily handed over to the Arklow woman last week.

The Arklow Friends of Philo music fan club hosted blues/ rock night ‘I’ve Got the Mon- day Blues’ at The Old Ship to help boost the coffers of Mary’s mammoth fundraiser.

A total of €700 was raised and Mary also unveiled memorabilia from her run around Ireland on the night.

She was delighted to accept the cheque at her coffee shop at Coral Leisure, Arklow, from Alison Behan, Mary Weadick and Colm Weadick on behalf of Friends of Philo.

The RNLI was represented by Tony Fennell and Tommy Nolan.
