Fundraising field day in Blessington

A FAMILY field day will take place in Blessington on Sunday, August 19 at the local GAA pitch.

Avon Ri Adventure Sports will be present as will the Blessington Rescue Boat.

The family field day will run from noon until 6 p.m. and will act as a fundraiser for the Blessington Rescue Boat crew, who are still trying to raise enough funds to purchase a new boat.

On the day there will be a selection of games, activities and various stalls. A cake sale will take place and there will also be a Tiger Ice Cream van, a Moody Cow chipper trailer and a tea/coffee van, so no one will go hungry.

DJ Sam will be present to play everyone’s favourite tunes.

The organisers hope to see a big turnout and have sent their thanks to Blessington GAA Club for their support in allowing the use of their pitch.
