32 years in business in Glenealy
GERRY Holt is celebrating 40 years of life in Glenealy and 32 years in business at Glenealy Garage.
The business specialises in sales and the servicing and repairs of all types of cars and light commercial vehicles.
Initially Gerry started working at Glenealy Garage while still in his teens and was taken under the wing of the then owner, the well-known Jay Byrne. After learning the ropes from Jay, Gerry took over the business as a young man in 1986 and has very much remained an important part of the local business community ever since.
‘I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working in Glenealy, especially all the friendships I have built up over the years with so many of our customers and I would like to thank them for their loyalty,’ says Gerry.
Gerry’s wife Sally-Ann and Paul O’Brien work alongside him. The team carry out all aspects of vehicle maintenance; timing belts, clutches, cylinder head recons, complete engine re-builds and repairs to all makes and models, right up to light commercial vehicles. They also specialise in vehicle sales, Diagnostics, Tyre Sales and will also prepare your car for NCT and DOE Testing.
‘We collect vehicles from our customers residences and return them in the evening, we also drop customers back to their residences when they want to drop their vehicles to the Garage. We will arrange everything, from preparing the car for the tests to booking the test and bringing the vehicle to the test centre,’ explains Gerry.
