End of an era as Kevin retires from karate school
I think a lot of people in Kilmacanogue were stunned to hear late Sunday evening that after almost 25 years of providing a wonderful opportunity to learn and train in Karate, Kevin Smith has decided to retire from his WKO School in Kilmacanogue.
Kevin ran this during the week nights in the Community Hall for both juniors, teenagers and adults and thought many of our children this wonderful discipline and we are all entirely grateful and indebted to the effort he put in along with his wife Sally. Kevin has decided to now put away the training maths and concentrate on his badminton and we have no doubt that this sport will now receive the same sort of dedication and commitment you would expect from a real competitor like Kevin.
We as a community would like to thank him for these past 25 years of commitment to the entire area and it will be sorely missed, best of luck Kevin and well done.
