Frédéric looking for host family

A Frenchman who once stayed in Ireland over two consecutive summers is looking for his former host family.

Frédéric Martin stayed in Bray some 34 years ago, and returned the following summer.

Both visits were for around a month and he returned to the same family each time.

He and his family will be coming to Dublin for a holiday next week. They will take in Bray for a visit during the trip. Frederick would love to once again meet Anthony and Deirdre O’Keeffe.

He can’t remember their address, but does recall that Mr O’Keeffe was a firefighter.

The family had two daughters, he remember, Alisha and Davinia.

Whether or not he manages to make contact with the family who welcomed him in 1984 and 1985, Frederick will pay a visit to Bray during his holiday.

He has been back to Ireland in the intervening years, he said, but just to the west and south coasts.
