Hearts racing with speed dating

-

OVER 60 single cyclists got hearts racing as they took part in Skoda’s first ever speed dating cycle event at the Avon Rí, Blessington.

The 60km cycle around the Blessington Lakes gave cyclists the chance to get to know each other while doing something they love. After parking the bikes up, participants were treated to some evening entertainment. TV and radio’s Muireann O’Connell hosted the official ‘match-making’ ceremony at the barbecue event that followed.

Thirteen couples ended up matching on the day.

Speaking afterwards, Raymond Leddy, Head of Marketing at SKODA Ireland, said: ‘Demand was so high for this event that we’re already planning a bigger, better event for June of next year’.
