A GROUP EXHIBITION BY EMERGING ARTISTS

THE EMERGING artists painting group presents the exhibition ‘Reflections’ at Signal Arts Centre from Monday, August 20, until Sunday, September 2.

This eclectic group of emerging artists have a wide range of artistic practices. They have all been attending Drawing and Painting classes every Saturday morning and some of the group also attend weekly Ceramic classes at the Signal Arts Centre.

It has been an adventure of discovery for these artists. They express a variety of artistic styles with differing subject matter ranging from pints of Guinness, to nature, animals and reflections.

Many started as beginners and their work is now of a very high standard. They are a very social and close-knit group and it is a pleasure to present the groups’ first exhibition showcasing and displaying the development of their skills.

Opening Reception: Friday, August 24, 7 to 9 p.m. Meanwhile, the 6th Annual Signal Open Exhibition takes place at the Signal Arts Centre from Tuesday, August 7, until Sunday, August 19.

The ‘Best in Show’ winner will be awarded €1,000 and will be announced at the Exhibition Opening on Friday, August 10, from 7 to 9 p.m.

This year’s judges for ‘Best in Show’ will include the newest board member, artist Emma Finucane.
