Patrick/Fiona King Memorial match

The annual Patrick and Fiona King Memorial match will take place at Ryders Field at 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 18. Once again, the game will feature friends that played with Patrick on both the Glencormac United and St Fergal’s teams and Fergals are attempting to make it 4-4 after pulling one back last year.

Although the game is in Ryders, St Fergal’s are the hosts this year and after the game it is back to the Wild Goose in Bray for presentation and a few stories to remember Patrick and Fiona, gone from our sights but not our hearts.

After a stack of mail (and giving out) that he wasn’t allowed say anything as joint manager of the Glens at the Bobby Messett Charity match, Colm Griffith will take sole charge of the Glencormac team and it will be interesting to see will ‘Our Coli’ step up the plate as his buddy Trevor Carr reckons its to be a step for him.
