PPN TRAINING FAIR
The Training Fair is a free day out for community groups on September 8 from 9.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Brockagh Resource Centre Laragh. Catering, with support from Wicklow Community Cafes. There will be lots of opportunities for networking and sharing experiences, learning from one another. Workshop places are limited so booking is essential. Contact Helen or Grainne at 087 1895145. TAE KWON-DO
Children, teens and adults will enjoy Taekwon-Do, a Korean art of self-defence. Benefits include improving confidence, respect, discipline, awareness, concentration, channeling aggression, balance, coordination, speed, reactions, fitness and health. A CELEBRATION OF HARPS
The Bray Harp Ensemble in association with Bre Comhaltas Ceoltoiri will present new work composed by Rachel Duffy and the musicians of the ensemble at the Brockagh Resource Centre on August 24 Tickets are free, with donations welcome, booking essential, go to eventbrite. com to book.
The composition will celebrate the past and present harpists of Ireland and especially the first Synod of Harpists from Ireland, England and Wales, who gathered in the 11th century in Glendalough. There will also be special guest performers. Refreshments and reception held at 7.30 p.m. before the concert at 8 p.m. This event is funded by the Creative Ireland Programme.
MONASTIC MAPPERY
Glendalough Heritage Forum presents ‘Monastic Mappery’ in the Brockagh Resource Centre (August 18 to August 26, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). This exhibition will look at the history of Glendalough in maps from the 16th century to the present. Free entry. Suitable for children under 12 years with wheelchair access and free parking.
WELLBEING WORKSHOP
Taking care of your Emotional Health and Well Being: This workshop will introduce you to the basic emotional needs which we all have, including the need for security, connection to others, attention. Understanding these needs and how to meet them in balance results in emotional well-being and improved mental health. So come along to this fun and relaxed 10-week course and take back charge of your life. GRAVEYARD TOUR

PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION
Thank you to everyone who entered the Wicklow Uplands Photographic Competition this year. The awards will be announced on Tuesday the 21st at 7 p.m. in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh on heritage week with the exhibition running in the centre for the following two weeks from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.
