Final film screening on beach
VIEWERS had the time of their lives last Thursday evening, with an outdoor screening of 80s classic ‘Dirty Dancing’ on the beach in Bray.
Two of cinema’s most unforgettable characters, Baby and Johnny, danced their socks off, along with other items of clothing, much to Baby’s dad’s chagrin.
There was a large attendance of Patrick Swayze fans there, wrapped in blankets and clutching flasks, which definitely contained no alcohol - as alcohol is strictly prohibited at the event.
This was the second in three outdoor movies this summer. The first was Top Gun, all the way back in July.
This Thursday, August 16, The Greatest Showman will hit the big screen.
The start time is 9.30 p.m. and the screening is weather dependent.
Starring Hugh Jackman, the musical is inspired by the story of PT Barnum’s creation of the Barnum & Bailey Circus and the lives of its star attractions.
Admission is free and the screen is located adjacent to the harbour wall.
