Children let their imaginations run wild

-

THE boys and girls of Bray have been putting their creative talents to work during the summer, with a Lego playgroup at Ballywaltrim Community Centre.

Amid global concerns that children are spending too much time staring at screens, there’s always Lego, still capturing imaginations after more than 80 years.

The group is drawing to a close shortly, with a return to school for its members just around the corner.

Local woman Ciara Kenny has facilitated the Lego club each Monday, Thursday and Friday morning over July and August, from 10 a.m. to 12 midday.

There are a few dates left, so anyone who wishes to participate can contact Ciara on 087 0961312.

The children have enjoyed playing with the bricks immensely. They use their imaginations, play together, and put their motor skills to good work by building their own projects.

The group also gave families a way to entertain their children during the summer months, without reaching for the iPad or games console.
