Folk and Americana at Harbour Roots Festival

The Harbour Roots Festival returns this month, with five days and nights of music.

The festival will take place at the Harbour Bar from Wednesday, August 22, until Sunday, August 26.

The events celebrate folk, Americana, bluegrass and country music and boasts an extraordin­ary line-up of acts on the main stage in the live lounge.

Music lovers will be treated to a series of top-shelf gigs from some of the finest musicians in the country.

The first day of the festival includes Mikey Mac, with Thursday bringing False & The Fair, and Mark Geary and band.

On Friday, it’s Bronagh Keogh and Jerry Fish, with headliners in the live lounge on Saturday The Remedy Club, Old Hannah and Dave Bellew.

On the Sunday, the festival will be closed by Rye River Band, Blank Bank Folk, Moon Looks on and The 4 Of Us.

This will be the second time The 4 of Us has appeared at the Harbour and fans are looking forward to another incredible performanc­e.

Their show will take place from 11 p.m. in the lounge. Meanwhile, the regulars will be in situ in the bar throughout the festival.

They are Brand New Switcharoo on Wednesday, Rake the Ashes on Thursday, Crooked Jack on Friday, Seodin on Saturday, and The Lonesome Boatmen on Sunday from 4 p.m.

Admission to all shows is free.
