First aid for parents

THERE will be a first aid for parents course held at the Royal Hotel on Thursday, September 6 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

In this hands-on session, parents will learn life-saving techniques from qualified and experienced first aid training professionals.

Topics include CPR, choking, burns and scalds, asthma, seizures, bleeding, meningitis, and more.

Prices range from €35 to €55, some prices including materials such as a first aid kit or booklet. THERE will be an ecumenical song celebration for Heritage Week at St Crispin’s Cell in Greystones on Saturday, August 18 at 3 p.m.

The event features St Patrick’s choir, Holy Rosary choir, Delgany choir, Chorus and a traditional uileann pipe and badhran group.

There will also be a heritage talk by Colin Love and Brian White, and an art competition for children.
