NEWTOWN JUNIORS FC

The WDSL are looking to host three x PDP Parent/Coach Workshops before the season resumes on September 9. The Dates/Venues/Times as follows (TBC):

The FAI PDP (Player Development Plan) format is now a compulsory requirement within the FAI and for teams participating within the WDSL These workshops are used to educate the coaches and parents of what is required within the plan regarding structure, pitch dimensions, playing time, rules etc.

These workshops are free, and will take no longer than 90 minutes. We urge all coaches working within the SSG game format from 5v5 to 9v9 Level to attend at least one workshop.

We aim to get all Coaches/ Managers from each club to attend, these Free Workshops. There are three Venues, Your Club will be Invited to put forward your Coaches/Managers to attend the closest, Venue, if there not available on that evening they can/must attend another, We will ask all to sign in on the evening and ask you the club to put forward who will be attending.

We would also like to extend the invitation to parents of the children, as they should have a basic knowledge of the PDP so they understand what the club and coaches are implementing on a weekly basis.

Well done to Newtown native Christy McCabe who clinched his third World title in Taekwondo recently in Buenos Aires in Argentina. Also well done to fellow Newtowner Mick Whelan, who was one of the Ireland coaches at the championships.
