Classical music club meeting up

SHANKILL Classical Music Club will hold its first meeting of the new season on Wednesday, September 5, from 7.45 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The meeting will take place at the Shankill Old Folk’s Centre, Lower Road.

Anyone who has never been before is assured of a warm welcome and wonderful classical music played on CDs with tea and biscuits in the interval.

The club was founded in September 2004 by a group of local classical music enthusiasts. They meet monthly to listen to and chat about a variety of recorded classical music. At each meeting, one or two members present a selection of recorded performances.

There is a small charge of €2 on the night but first-time visitors are not asked to pay.
