Bural ground tours

Guided tours of Delgany’s Old Burial Ground will be taking place for Heritage Week 2018. The Old Burial Ground dates back to the seventh century and contains many interesting antiquities including a granite cross shaft, church ruins, a granite font and dome shaped gravestones dating 1712-1800 including fine examples of Elizabethan lettering and symbols.

This is a free event and tours will be guided by local Historian, Lailli DeBuitlear. Come along to find out more about it’s fascinating history.

The tours began on Sunday, and continue on Thursday, August 23 and Saturday, August 25, from 11.30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
