Suspensions dished out

-

A total of 12 individuals, eight from Rathnew and four from Ashford, have felt the wrath of the Wicklow GAA disciplinary system following the ugly brawl that marred the IFC clash between both clubs in Joule Park Aughrim recently.

Four Ashford players have already been dealt with and the eight Rathnew men, seven players and one mentor, discovered their fate late last week.

The players sent off on the day were given onematch suspensions while the rest were made up of suspensions ranging from between two matches and eight weeks.

Only one player who picked up suspensions from the bust up in the SFC meeting of Avondale and Éire Óg has appealed his suspension with the four remaining accepting the judgement of the Wicklow C.C.C.
