The East Coast Samaritans had a very successful day fundraising and raising awareness at the Tinahely Show recently.
During the day, the group raffled a number of beautiful hampers, which were packed full of donations from retailers and businesses in the Arklow and Gorey areas.
Among those to visit the Samaritans stand at the show was the Minister for Health, Simon Harris, who commended the volunteers for their work.
‘I was very happy to be able to visit the East Coast Samaritans stand at the Tinahely Show and meet some of the volunteers who do such wonderful work,’ he said. ‘I would like to commend the Samaritans for the excellent service they provide for those in most need, at all hours of the day and night.’
