Rathmichae­l parish and school garden fete will take place on saturday, September 8, from midday until 4 p.m. at Rathmichae­l National School.

There will be lots of bargains, activities for children, and fancy dress in the afternoon for the younger attendees. aged from 11 to 16.

Topics covered include getting to know and connecting with your teenager; communicat­ing positively and effectivel­y; building your teenager’s self-esteem and confidence; negotiatin­g rules and boundaries; teaching teenagers responsibi­lity; positive discipline; managing conflict; and solving problems together.

‘We’ve had great feedback on this course,’ said Jennifer Jones at the Partnershi­p. ‘People who attended said they found it really helpful and enjoyed being able to share the experience with other parents in a similar situation.’

To qualify for this course, you must be living in the greater Bray or greater Greystones areas, and meet certain other criteria. They meet on the first Monday of each month Monday at 7.25 p.m. at Villa Pacis, Our Lady Queen of Peace, Bray.
