RESERVOIR DOGS GET READY TO PEDAL HARD AGAIN

-

THE Reservoir Dog Sportive returns to Blessington for the fourth time on September 2 and will raise funds for Blessington Tidy Towns, Blessington Forum and local environmental enhancement projects.

The starting and finishing point is at Russ- borough House and the 125km route traverses the valleys and passes across the Wicklow mountain massif. Participants ride along quiet roads with spectacular scenery and challenging climbs. As well as the road less travelled, some classic and extremely tough bike climbs are included. The event takes in a scenic circuit of the Blessington Reservoir and introduces the rider to some hidden gems.

The sportive is organised by the Reservoir Cogs leisure cycling club and the entrance fee is €30 online or €35 on the day of the event. Online registration closes at 8 p.m. this Friday, August 31.

A one-day licence for the event will cost non-members of Cycling Ireland an additional €5. The cycle is open to those aged 16 and over and starts from Russborough at 9 a.m.
