Remembering Bobby golf classic

Last Friday (24th), the Bobby Messett Memorial golf classic took place in Charlesland Golf Club. The event received massive support and the organisers are extremely grateful. Mark Kinsella kindly sponsored all the trophies and he presented the Bobby Messett Memorial Cup to the winning team of Mark Quinn, Paul Murphy, Robbie Creavin and Mark Smyth with a very impressive net score of 59.

The event would not have been possible without the support of the Messett family and Bobby’s partner Natalie and all are grateful to them. A big thanks also to Ronan Lewis and the staff of Charlesland Golf Club for use of their excellent course and facilities and the greens were in perfect condition as was the entire course, well done. Thanks also to Paul in Kellys Jewellers in Bray for been very kind with the cost of trophies and the actual Cup for the memorial.

Thanks also to Helen and Nick Alderton of Plucks, who as usual fed all the golfers after with their excellent food and also to singer Karl Ivers, who was very entertaining. Thanks also to everyone who sponsored Tee Boxes or made a donation. This will be an annual event now to remember Bobby.
