No objections from councillors over disposal of council lands
A NUMBER of disposals of council assets were passed without objection during last Monday’s Wicklow County Council meeting.
Councillors agreed to the disposal of 1.85 acres of land at Rednagh Road, Aughrim, to the Trustees of Aughrim Community Sports and Leisure Association. The disposal was proposed by Cllr Pat Kennedy.
Cllr Edward Timmins proposed the disposal of 285sqm of thereabouts known as the Enterprise Units at Lathaleer, Baltinglass to Eric Woods, 12 Verscholy Rise, Saggart Abbey, Citywest, Dublin T/A SP Sports and Leisure.
Cllr John Snell proposed the disposal of 0.0014ha or thereabouts of land in the town land of Merrymeeting, Rathnew, adjoining plot to 67 Seaview Heights, Rathnew, to Joanne Fox and David McDonald of 67 Seaview Heights, Rathnew.
Cllr Shay Cullen proposed the disposal of 0.1182 hectares at Brockagh (Knockfin), part of land registry folio WW4484, being all of property 174 by way of deed of rectification to Martha O’Neill, Knockfin, Glendalough.
The elected members were also asked to consider Part 8 alterations to the previously approved terrace number 12 and alterations and redesign of previously approved public park at Rathdown Upper and Rathdown Lower/Greystones Harbour and North Beach, Greystones. There was a decrease by three in the numbers of residential units approved. The number of disabled parking bays will be increased, while the park design was altered to incorporate a dog park.
20 councillors voted in favour of the Part 8, while 12 members weren’t present in the chamber during the vote.
