Pat’s dish out a thumping

ST PATRICK’S TINAHELY 7-12 1-5

IT was double delight for St Patrick’s ladies last weekend when their Intermediate side secured their spot in the county decider ahead of their Senior colleagues doing likewise in their semi-final battle with Baltinglass at Avondale on Saturday evening.

A pair of hat-tricks for the Dunbur Park side were vital in the dismantling of Tinahely’s second string with Niamh Caffrey and Niamh O’Brien bagging six goals between them in a stunning display of attacking voracity.

Orla Redmond, Aine Cahill and Laura Leonard completed the scoring in what was a rout in the Rathdrum venue.

Tinahely found the going hard against the Wicklow town side but were well represented by Eimear O’Brien who notched three points, Aisling Winterbotham, Jade Shannon and Siofra Byrne all grabbing a single point apiece while Alice Mulhall grabbed the goal.
