Ice cream to start the school year at Brigid’s

-

As children attending St Brigid’s, Greystones settled back into school last week, they were treated to a surprise visit by Dale Farm, one of Ireland’s most loved ice cream brands.

Dale Farm surprised students with a special delivery giving away free ice cream to all 500 pupils on the first Friday of term.

Suzanne Carwood, Teacher at St. Brigid’s National School, Greystones said it had been a big treat.

‘There was much excitement amongst our pupils as we started back into the new school term after the summer break.

‘We were thrilled that Dale Farm stopped-off on our first full week with the perfect Friday treat – ice cream!’

Caroline Martin, Head of Marketing at Dale Farm said they were delighted to surprise the children.

‘Dale Farm was delighted to help kick-start the school year at St Brigid’s with a surprise visit from our ice cream van.

‘The van has been on the road for over eight weeks as part of nationwide summer road-trip.

‘As we’re nearing the end of our #AllKindsOfCool tour, we couldn’t think of a sweeter way to finish-up a memorable summer.

We hope the students enjoyed their ice cream and we wish them all the best for the year ahead.’

The children couldn’t believe their luck when the ice creams were delivered to the school.
