RAISING THE ROOF FOR KARIGIRI HOSPITAL IN SOUTH INDIA: Local singers and musicians will take to the stage at the Whale Theatre under the musical direction of Gary McDowell to raise the roof of the new outpatients department at Karigiri Hospital. Performers will be a mix of amateur, semi-professional and professional singers and the music will be a mix of classical, light opera, choral and popular. Tickets cost €25 and are available from the Whale Theatre. Doors open at 7 p.m., with the show starting at 8 p.m.
