More Power to Emmets

-

THE Carnew Emmets juvenile section were delighted to welcome Kilkenny All Star and former full-forward Riche Power to the sportsfield recently.

Richie joined the club for the presentation of medals to their under-15 ‘A’ hurling championship winners from last year and their under-13 football championships winners, also from last season.

Proceedings commenced with a 45-minute training session with Richie, and the Carnew mentors were keenly looking on.

Having taken the boys through their paces, Richie had some words of wisdom for them and this was followed up by the presentation of medals and a barbecue kindly sponsored by Pallas Foods.

‘Sincere thanks to Richie and we all appreciate him giving up his time to attend, to Barry Brennan of Pallas Foods for their generosity, to the parents who prepared the food and all those who attended on the day and congratulations to all the boys,’ said a Carnew Emmets club member.

‘As we are coming near the end of the season and competitions are closing in we would just like to take this opportunity to wish all our teams and mentors the very best of luck in their games and an enjoyable end to the season,’ they added.
