AN AUTUMN VISUAL TREAT IN ARKLOW
THE first ever Autumn Exhibition is currently running at Arklow Visual Arts Gallery at 61-62 Main Street.
The show opened last week to great acclaim and runs until Friday, September 28. Art enthusiasts from across south Wicklow are encouraged to pay a visit to the gallery before this wonderful exhibition concludes.
Featuring the original works of local artists Mary Mitchell, Helen Hiney, David Owens, Tony Byrne, Michael Sheehan, Maisie Dillon, Patrick Power the exhibition showcases an array of unique pieces in oil, acrylic, watercolour as well as mixed media and wood creations.
The gallery is offering another original showcase next month with a new group exhibition opening on Tuesday, October 2 running until October 5.
‘Colourful Times’ features the works of Anthony Mc Donald, Conall Carney, Ciaran Smyth, Jason Hayden and Sandy Browne all of whom attend the art room in Glenvale Day Centre, Ballyraine, Vale Road, Arklow and are mentored by instructor, Christine Walsh.
A wide range of individual, abstract paintings, drawings and mixed media pieces are now on show and are for sale. Admission is free to Arklow Visual Arts Gallery. For more details call 0402 32732.
