OPEN EVENING
Our annual ‘open evening’ will be held on Thursday, October 11. It will commence at 6 p.m. with a short talk and guided tours around the school and will finish at 8 p.m. It is a great opportunity for familiies to see all the school has to offer and visit the different specialist classrooms. Perhaps the prospective students could try their hand at few different subjects. Our senior students and staff will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. We look forward to meeting you all there.
EMBER LEADER TRAINING
The Ember Leadership Programme is a faith leadership training programme for students at senior level in secondary level schools. The students are trained to become faith leaders in their schools and they can act as mentors for incoming students at Junior Level. This programme is coordinated by the Archdiocese of Dublin Education Secretariat. Students at DCW have been interviewed for this role and the girls selected are Mia Ryan, Clodagh Barrett, Rosa Flaherty, Abbie Kearns and Gráinne Hayden. The girls spent three days in Ovoca Manor for their training along with six other schools from around Leinster. Thanks to Ms Flood for organising and accompanying the girls.
