The search is on for Young Ambassador

BRAY Lions Club has begun searching for a Young Ambassador who will represent the club in an international competition.

The Lions Young Ambassador programme rewards young people (aged under 19 in June 2019) who are making a contribution to their community through voluntary work, sporting activity or good citizenship.

Bray Lions Club’s Young Ambassadors Adam Harris, Molly Comish and Rachel Casey have all reached the national finals of the competition in recent years, with Adam Harris also reaching the European final. All three of these ambassadors have also founded charities.

The ambassador selected by Bray Lions Club will participate in a regional final, where candidates for the district will be chosen before a young ambassador will then be selected to represent Ireland in the European Final.

Prizes and bursaries are awarded to winners and Bray Lions Club will sponsor its Young Ambassador’s participation at all levels of the competition, should they qualify.
