CAB raid takes in Bray and the west of Dublin
THE Criminal Assets Bureau seized four cars, a watch and designer handbags in raids in Bray and west Dublin last Thursday morning.
A freezing order is also being made in respect of €145,000 in accounts in financial institutions.
The searches relate to a west Dublin organised crime group suspected of involvement in the sale of drugs. The searches were conducted at six residential homes, four professional offices, three business premises and a motor dealership.
CAB seized an Audi A4, VolsWag- on Passat, Mercedes C220, and a Seat Leon as well as a Hublot watch and the handbags.
The officers were backed up by members of the special crime task force during the searches.
CAB previously led searches in Bray in June, when six properties were searched.
On that occasion, they seized a total of €7,500 in cash, as well as evidence relating to the use of virtual currencies and a number of mobile phones, laptops computers and other electronic devices.
