New name for Greystones cul de sac

A cul-de-sac in Greystones will be re-branded after Councillors agreed to a name change.

Councillors were asked to consider the adoption of a proposal to substitute the ‘New Road’ cul de sac in Greystones to ‘Monterey Road’ in accord- ance with Section 189 of the Local Government Act 2001.

Council Cathaoirleach, Cllr Pat Vance joked: ‘I presume there is no disagreement with it. The new name is fancy enough for Greystones?’

Councillors also agreed to the disposal of 0.0022ha. or thereabouts of land in Merrymeeting, Rathnew to Jamie Doyle and Charles O’Connor, 65 Seaview Heights, Rathnew.

The members voted in favour of both issues and they were agreed upon.
