Social dance supports RNLI
MUSICIAN Tommy Carroll was the star performer at a fundraising social dance held in the Parkview Hotel in Newtownmountkennedy.
Tommy’s ballroom sounds had everyone up on their feet and strutting their stuff on the dance floor well into the early hours of the morning.
All the funds raised on the night will go toward Wicklow RNLI and their ongoing efforts to protect and save lives at sea.
Congratulations are also due to Brid Seoighe and Mark Conway who completed probationary training and received their pagers from RNLI coxswain Nick Keogh. The pair now join the volunteer crew on call 24/7.
The next big fundraiser taking place for the RNLI is the ‘Fish Supper’ annual charity event. It’s simple - You invite your friends or family, serve a delicious fish supper, and collect donations for the RNLI. This year’s ‘Fish Supper’ will be held from October 5 to October 21.
