Minor final headache
WICKLOW’S Coiste na nÓg are enduring a headache when it comes to fixing their flagship Minor football and hurling finals.
A staggeringly early time of 10.30am had been pencilled in for the football decider on county final day in Joule Park Aughrim but the adult board have now quashed that request and have suggested that they play the final on Saturday afternoon, October 13, after the JAFC decider between Kilcoole and Valleymount.
An earlier time on Saturday is not feasible according to Coiste na nÓg chairman Pat Dunne due to the Under-11 football finals taking place in Ballinakill from early morning that day.
