A beautiful selection of music at show to raise funds for Kaligiri hospital

GUESTS enjoyed an enchanting night of music at Whale Theatre recently with ‘Raising the Roof ’ for Karigiri Hospital in South India.

Entertaine­r Reuben Evans introduced a series of artists who performed a varied selection.

Singers included Darren Mooney, Greystones Presbyteri­an Choir, Gary and Deborah McDowell, Voices of Bray Community Choir and many others.

Songs included Rolling in the Deep, All I Want, La Donna e Mobile, She Moved Through the Fair, and the finale - Time to Say Goodbye.

Accompanyi­ng musicians on the evening were Susan McCormick, Gary McDowell and Jimmy Meldon.

The entertaini­ng and inspiratio­nal night showcased so much local talent, all under the guidance of musical director Gary McDowal.

Funds raised will go towards a new outpatient department at Karigiri Hos- pital.

The concert was a fundraiser for the Leprosy Mission, an organisati­on which aims to eradicate leprosy from the world and supports research and training at hospitals like Karigiri.
