Stolen workshop items ‘maybe offered for sale’

October 1993

-

GARDAI IN Arklow believe that items stolen from a Riverwalk workshop at the weekend will be put on the market for sale.

The weekend haul by thieves included two outboard engines for boats, a microwave and electrical equipment including a welder and drill.

The items were stolen from a workshop attached to the Riverwalk Café and the thieves gained entry by forcing open the door.

Gardai are warning members of the public to be on guard for these stolen items to be put on the market for sale and to report anything suspicious immediately.

People around the Dock area are also being asked by the Gardai to keep a keen lookout after two fishing boats were set adrift from their moorings on Saturday last.

Luckily, the boats were spotted before any damage was caused or before they were able to drift out of the dock and harbour to the open sea.
