The Avoca Valley Singers, conducted by Tony Norton, will be singing at the 8 p.m. Mass on Saturday, October 6, in Ss Mary and Michael Church, Rathdrum. All very welcome.
CANCER SUPPORT GROUP
Rathdrum Cancer Support Group are currently looking for volunteers. Can you help in joining our group for the following positions.
DRIVERS
To pick up our clients and take them to and from the main hospitals in Dublin, for appointments and/or treatment – we have our own vehicle for this.
VOLUNTEERS; To help out at fundraising events and social nights etc. A person with office and book-keeping experience to help out when required.

PILATES CLASSES
Rathdrum Pilates classes now running in St Saviour’s National School. Wednesday evenings at 6.15 p.m. (Beginners/Improvers) and at 7.30 p.m. (intermediate). Drop-in rate €12. Pilates strengthens core muscles, improves muscle control, flexibility, strength and tone, as well as alignment and breathing.

IVY DAY
The annual Ivy Day commemoration will be held in the Parnell Memorial Park on Sunday next, October 7, at 1 p.m. Guest speaker this year will be Michael Tierney. Everyone welcome.
GAA CLUB NEWS
Well done to the Avondale under-12 and under-16 Avondale camogie teams for a wonderful weekend of Finals. The club has a great future ahead with all the brilliant underage players.
Best of luck to the under-17 Avondale Parnell’s Hurling Team in the replay of their drawn final.
Congratulations to the Avondale Footballers for retaining their senior status for next year. Great to see all the young blood introduced into the team.
GYMNASTICS CLUB
We will have our open day this Sunday, October 7, from midday to 4 p.m. This is an ideal opportunity to have a trial in the club for any remaining spaces we have available.
We cater to girls and boys from Age 3+ upwards. Club is suitable for both total beginners and aspiring Olympians in Floor, Vault, Airtrack, Trampoline, Bars, Double Mini Trampoline and beam. No need for a appointment, just turn up. Any Queries to Becky 085 7538733.
