KIA MARKS TEN YEARS

THE Kaliwat Iliganon Associatio­n - Republic of Ireland (KIA-ROI) had a big celebratio­n in Bray recently.

The Filipino community based in Bray was celebratin­g its 10th anniversar­y, as well as the Feast of St Michael, and the induction of officers for 2018 to 2020.

Nine nights of novena Masses were held in the church of Our Lady Queen of Peace, from September 20 to 28. Fiesta Mass on September 29 was officiated by Fr Joseph Whelan.

The induction of the new set of officers and celebratio­n was held in Wolfe tone Community Centre. The event was attended by Cllr Dermot O’Brien and his family, and the Philippine Honorary Consul Mark Christophe­r Congdon.
