Awards to honour the heroes of Bray
NOMINATIONS SOUGHT FOR CHAMBER’S ENDEAVOUR AWARDS
THE search is on for the heroes of Bray, as Bray & District Chamber of Commerce launches its annual community Endeavour Awards campaign to identify and reward those individuals and community groups who have made an outstanding contribution to the area.
The Bray Endeavour Awards are presented annually by Bray & District Chamber of Commerce, which works to promote business and support the community. First presented in 1981, the annual Chamber of Commerce Endeavour Awards are designed to recognise and reward the normal, ordinary people who do extra ordinary things.
Nominations are being sought for person of the year, civic/community, sports achievement, lifetime achievement, and young achiever.
The closing date for nominations is midday on Tuesday, October 23. Nominations can be made at braychamber.ie, by email to info@braychamber.ie, or by post to 10 Prince of Wales Terrace.
The awards will be presented at a cere- mony on November 23.
For tickets call 01 2828248 or info@ braychamber.ie.
The business award finalists will be announced on October 26 when the public will have a few weeks to vote on their favourite.
‘ The annual Endeavour Awards provide all of us with the opportunity to not only recognize individual or group achievement, but also honour that achievement,’ said chamber president Pat Ó Súilleabháin. ‘Most importantly, these individual Awards are nominated by the people of Bray, making the annual Endeavour Awards the premier public accolade that our community can bestow upon that great band of heroes that we have in our town.’
