WICKLOW SCREEN DANCE FESTIVAL
WICKLOW Screendance Laboratory returns for its second edition in Bray from October 17 to 20.
The festival includes films, workshops, performances, discussion, and invited guest artists including Marisa M Hayes and Franck Boulègue of The International Video Dance Festival of Burgundy (France) and acclaimed dancer/film maker Jasmine Morand from Switzerland.
‘If you’re interested in film or dance in any of its manifestations, I’m sure you’ll find much to enjoy at this years event,’ said Dr Adrienne Brown, Wicklow Screendance festival director. Leading Irish film and dance artists Tara Brandel, Steve Woods and Emma Fitzgerald will present and discuss works. The events include a schools workshop at Bray Institute of Further Education on Friday October 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A free event takes place at Perfect Theatre Studios, Bray Bowl on Friday October 19, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. This evening includes dance performance, dance film screening and discussion, with special guests and artists. Other events take place at Mermaid.
