WICK­LOW Screen­dance Lab­o­ra­tory re­turns for its se­cond edi­tion in Bray from Oc­to­ber 17 to 20.

The fes­ti­val in­cludes films, work­shops, per­for­mances, dis­cus­sion, and in­vited guest artists in­clud­ing Marisa M Hayes and Franck Boulègue of The In­ter­na­tional Video Dance Fes­ti­val of Bur­gundy (France) and ac­claimed dancer/film maker Jas­mine Mo­rand from Switzer­land.

‘If you’re in­ter­ested in film or dance in any of its man­i­fes­ta­tions, I’m sure you’ll find much to en­joy at this years event,’ said Dr Adri­enne Brown, Wick­low Screen­dance fes­ti­val direc­tor. Lead­ing Ir­ish film and dance artists Tara Bran­del, Steve Woods and Emma Fitzger­ald will present and dis­cuss works. The events in­clude a schools work­shop at Bray In­sti­tute of Fur­ther Ed­u­ca­tion on Fri­day Oc­to­ber 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A free event takes place at Per­fect The­atre Stu­dios, Bray Bowl on Fri­day Oc­to­ber 19, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. This evening in­cludes dance per­for­mance, dance film screen­ing and dis­cus­sion, with spe­cial guests and artists. Other events take place at Mer­maid.
