PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE VISITS HIS SON’S SCHOOL

-

Presidential candidate Seán Gallagher paid a visit to St Laurence’s School in Greystsones last Wednesday, and in particular to his son’s senior infants class.

Seán and his wife Trish were welcomed by teacher Triona Hassett, with an even more warm welcome from Bobby (5), who flew into his father’s arms when he arrived in the class.

The presidential hopeful said that he doesn’t get to see his children as often as he would like at the moment, so it was a lovely way to be greeted.

Earlier that same day, the candidate also paid a visit to other students in the school, including sixth class, where he sat for a question and answer session with the pupils. Mr Gallagher took in Purple House Cancer Support during his day of canvassing. He and his wife met up with service users and volunteers.

Founder and Director of Services Veronica O’Leary explained the range of services provided to cancer patients and their families.

Seán also called in to East Coast FM that morning, for an interview with Declan Meehan on the morning show.

He spoke to Declan about his vision for the presidency, which he said is shaped by the experiences and skills he has learned over a life in community, business and politics.

Seán and Trish moved to Wicklow in 2013, intially to Enniskerry and then Delgany where they now live.
