ART EXHIBITION FOR DEMENTIA SUPPORT GROUP

WICKLOW Dementia Support will hold a charity art exhibition on Thursday, October 25, at 7.30 p.m. at the Pop Up Gallery, La Touche Place, Greystones.

The exhibition will raise funds for Wicklow Dementia Support. This exhibition will include works from over a dozen local artists including Michael Gemmell, Nicky Kruseman, and Patrick Walshe, who have generously donated works to be raffled on the night.

An admission donation of €10 will include a glass of wine and a raffle ticket with all funds going to Wicklow Dementia Support. Also exhibited will be four works from students at St Gerard’s School, Bray who are currently raising funds and submitting their artwork for a competitio­n.

The Pop Up Gallery will then be opened 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Friday to Sunday, October 26 to 28, with 50 per cent of all sales going to the charity.

Wicklow Dementia Support aims to support the person with dementia to stay in their home and their own community for as long as possible. It runs a befriendin­g program (AlzPals), social clubs (AlzClubs) for the person with dementia and their career, Memory Lane Music Group, Carer Support Groups, Meet and Eat Program, cultural outings, and other social get-togethers throughout the year.
