U-11 county finals serve up a real treat in Ballinakil­l

A great day’s hurling was enjoyed by clubs from across the county in Ballinakil­l last Saturday at the under-11 county finals.

There were some fantastic games on display with some of the best young hurlers in the county strutting their stuff in a windy but pleasant centre of excellence.

There was one early game at 12.30pm while the rest of the clashes got undserway at 2pm. That early game saw Avondale defeat St Pat’s in a wonderful encounter.

The other results were as follows:

Barndarrig 0-16, Éire g Greystones 0-7; Kilmacanog­ue 2-1, Éire Óg Greystones 0-0; Bray Emmets 3-3, Tinahely 1-2; Glenealy 7-8, Michael Dwyers 0-1; Aughrim 0-18, Michael Dwyers 0-15; Arklow Rock Parnells 4-6, Kilcoole 1-6; St Patrick’s 4-9, Carnew Emmets 0-3; Aughrim 0-19, Western Gaels 0-13; Avondale 0-23, St Pat’s 0-21.
