Garda golf match raises €600 for charity

-

A golf tournament held in Woodenbridge Golf Club and played between members of the Garda Districts in Wicklow, Bray and Baltinglass raised €600 for charity.

The monies raised on the day went towards the battle against cancer, specifically to the Oesophageal Cancer Fund (OCF). The Wicklow District golfers proved to be the victors and last Wednesday members of the winning side, including captain Mick Hall, were able to present Noelle Ryan, Chairperson of the OCF, with a cheque for €600. Wicklow Gardai were also pleased to have Siobhan Corrigan, widow of retired Garda Hugh Corrigan, at the presentation. Hugh passed away in 2017 after a long battle with oesophageal cancer.
