ARKLOW HARBOUR GOLF SOCIETY

On the third Sunday in September, members of Arklow Harbour Golf Society travelled to the Bunker golf Club course to play for the Earls Cup. This cup was presented to the Harbour Society by the Earls family in memory of their parents Nancy and Jerry. There was a good turnout of members and the weather conditions were excellent for good golf.

The cup was won by Michael Barnes after he turned in a good round of go9lf with a score of 29 points.

Results: 1st: Michael Barnes; 2nd: Robert Riley 25 points.

On Sunday last, the Society played for the Benny Hughes Cup. The competitio­n was at Potters Point and again weather conditions were perfect.

It was pro player Bobby Riley who put in a great round of golf when he pared five of the holes to win. He was presented with the cup by his son Robert who placed second.
