Local beneficiaries at horse show presentation

-

THE hard working committee of the Kilmacanogue Horse Show held a lovely presentation night in the Powerscourt Arms on Thursday night.

This show is not just a great show for everyone to enjoy, it is also a wonderful benefit for local organisations that are really grateful for the funds raised.

The committee were most generous to three organisations in our village with a very generous cheque presented to Glencormac United FC to be added to the Bobby Messitt golf classic fund, Kilmacanogue senior citizens and Kilmacanogue GAA Club.

Other beneficiaries included Purple House, The Kidney Association, Charabanc, Newcourt School, Spinal Injuries Ireland, The Wicklow Hospice, Riding for the disabled, Bray Lakers and My Lovely Horse Rescue.

On behalf of all 12 organisations, we would like to thank the committee most sincerely for their generosity and wish them continued success for their wonderful show.

Considering the wonderful summer we had, the morning of the show was so damp and cold yet the people involved never let it stop them and Georgina Masterson was proud to state
