Disruption to Dart services over bank holiday weekend

-

DART services will be suspended between Connolly and dun Laoghaire, and between Bray and Greystones this Saturday and Sunday, October 27 and 28.

This is due to a combination of track works, as well as the start of roof replacement works at Pearse station.

Dublin bus will accept rail tickets for customer travelling to and from Southside stations, and a bus transfer will operate between Bray and Greystones.

Rosslare Europort/Dublin services will operate with bus transfers between Greystones and Dublin Connolly.

On bank holiday Monday, October 29, Dart services will be suspended between Bray and Greystones, with bus transfers between the two stations, including a bus transfer between Greystones and Bray for Rosslare trains.

A Sunday service will operate on other Dart routes.

The works to replace the Pearse Station roof will cost €17 million. While the vast majority of works will not affect rail services and are also planned to take place at daytime to reduce impact on the surrounding areas, Iarnród Éireann does expect that the station will need to be closed for up to 13 weekends over the 23-month period for round-the-clock works, involving crane operation to install sections of the new structure.
