FOUR CHARGED WITH IMPEDING INVESTIGAT­ION

CHARGES LINKED TO THE DEATH OF PATRICIA O’CONNOR

Two men and two women have been charged with impeding a garda investigat­ion into the murder of Patricia O’Connor.

The remains of Ms O’Connor (62) were found at Military Road, Enniskerry, on June 10, 2017.

Augustine O’Connor (74), his daughter Louise O’Connor (40), her daughter Stephanie O’Connor (20), and Keith Johnson (41) appeared at Tallaght District Court last Thursday. All four were remanded on bail.

The defendants are the husband, daughter and granddaugh­ter of the deceased, as well as her daughter’s ex-partner

Augustine O’Connor of Mill CLose, Stamullen, County Meath, and Stephanie and Louise O’Connor of Lower Gardiner Street, Dublin 1, are accused of attempting to impede an investigat­ion.

The offences are alleged to have occurred at Mountain View Park, Rathfarnha­m, on May 29, 2017.

Keith Johnson, Avonbeg Gardens, Tallaght, is charged with impeding an investigat­ion, alleged to have occurred at Woodies DIY in Tallaght and various other locations on June 9, 2017.

The court heard that the Director of Public Prosecutio­ns had directed trial on indictment in the Central Criminal Court.

Bail conditions include the surrender of their passports, and they must each sign on three times a week.

The matter was adjourned to November 29 at Tallaght District Court for production of a book of evidence.

Another man is currently before the courts charged with the murder of Ms O’Connor at Mountain View Park between May 29 and May 30 last year.
